At Anchor Academy, our model is intentionally designed to support the whole-child. Each school day is structured as:
Rather than separating therapy from learning, we embed brain-based, root-cause supports throughout the day, creating a seamless environment where regulation, communication, and education work together.
We support students across a range of learning and communication pathways, including:
Our approach prioritizes:
We believe every child is capable!
At Anchor Academy, we presume competence, providing access to age-appropriate content and experiences while offering the supports needed for each child to engage, understand, and participate. We do not limit expectations based on communication level. Instead, we create pathways for every child to access learning in meaningful ways. We also acknowledge that many barriers are due to motor planning rather than cognition. We support the whole-child.
Our approach follows a brain-based sequence: regulate, support communication, then educate. Building from foundational neurological readiness so learning becomes accessible. Through rhythmic movement, primitive reflex integration, strength and coordination training and targeted sensory-motor activities, we strengthen the nervous system and support the brain’s natural development, allowing students to engage more fully in communication and academics.
Each student is supported through a personalized plan that integrates both therapeutic and academic goals, ensuring instruction is aligned with their unique learning pathway. Plans are designed to support regulation, coordination, communication, and learning. Strategies are embedded throughout the day to promote meaningful progress and access. With parent input and regular assessments, each student's PTAP is updated quarterly.
