Anchor Academy was founded from a deep desire to create a place where children with disabilities are truly seen, supported, and understood. After years of working closely with children and families, it became clear that many students, especially those with significant communication and behavioral needs were not being served in environments designed to support the whole-child. Too often, the focus was on managing behavior rather than exploring root causes or on limiting expectations rather than presuming potential.
ANCHOR WAS CREATED TO BE DIFFERENT!
As a licensed speech-language pathologist with over two decades of experience, founder Staci Daniel has worked extensively with children with complex communication and behavioral needs and their families.
Both professionally and personally, she began pursuing brain-based therapeutic approaches that move beyond behavior-focused models to address the root causes of a child’s challenges. She has completed training as a neurofeedback provider, deepening her understanding of the nervous system and its role in communication, behavior, and learning.
Grounded in a Christ-centered perspective, her work is rooted in the belief that every child is created with purpose and inherent value. She emphasizes connection as the foundation for growth, recognizing that meaningful learning begins with relationships, safety, and a regulated nervous system.
Through this work, she has seen firsthand the transformation that can occur when a child is truly known, supported, and invited to grow into who they were created to be.
